Pastor Dave, Senior Pastor

David Lightner has been a Senior Pastor for almost 40 years.  Windom Evangelical Free Church is his third church, being here since 1996.  He was raised in a Christian home on a farm in Western Kansas.  As a twelve year old boy he trusted Christ as his savior at a Christian camp.  David graduated with a BS degree from Kansas State University and received his Masters of Divinity from Denver Seminary. Pastor Lightner believes a healthy local church is the hope of the world. The church proclaims the message of Christ and helps the believer to grow in their walk with Christ.  He has a passion for preaching God’s Word and for discipleship and wants people to understand the supremacy of Christ.  He believes Christ can change anyone. David is married to Sylvia and they have five grown sons and five grandchildren.  He enjoys sports, projects in his garage and yard, having coffee with others and being involved with many events in the community.

Pastor Roger, Associate Senior Pastor

Roger graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Political Science / Constitutional Law. He attended Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL, and has completed the  MA program in Theology from Wheaton College.  Roger served as senior pastor of Cornerstone Bible Church in Prospect Heights, IL prior to being called to Windom.  When he is not shuffling his kids to various sporting and musical events, he enjoys playing and listening to music, running, biking, golfing, or reading a good book.
